Training Camps France

Training camps in France for track athletes, road athletes, cross runners, trail runners and survival runners.

NB: Because the National Track and Field Championships will not be organised until August 2025, no training camp will be organised in France in the summer of 2025.

From the base camp at the Lac de Paladru we organize a sporty holiday for people with a good basic condition. Every day there is a running training (or two)..

Trainers: Connor Kluivers & Raoul Kluivers

Location: > Camping Robert, Charavines
> Stade Colette Besson, Athletics track Moirans
What can one expect?
From the base camp Camping Robert at the Lac de Paladru, up to 2 training sessions will be provided daily during this training camp. These trainings will be provided by Connor, Raôul or both.

By these trainings we mean something as simple as a joint short or long run from base camp or in the vicinity, sailing games (also known as “fartlek”), but also specific trainings such as hill training or track training. Joint supporting strength training will also take place at the campsite. The hill training is done in Charavines and the surrounding area, for the track training we travel to the beautiful athletics track in Moirans, overlooking the Vercors and Chartreuse massif, just 30 minutes drive from the campsite.
What does such a day look like?
You have to take care of your own food (there is a small supermarket in Charavines itself, and a large one 20 minutes' drive away in Voiron), after which the first training normally starts at 9.30 am. Normally this would be an endurance run. This will be carried out around the hilly landscape around the Lac de Paladru and will vary from 40' to 90'. The hill training will be done on the paths that are largely avoided during the endurance run around Charavines, there will also be a hill training at altitude on the Charmant Som, where you can certainly enjoy the nature in the Chartreuse massif. The 2the training will be finished at 6:30 PM if it is track training in Moirans, and at 7:00 PM if it is a 2the training in Charavines itself (endurance or hill training). The track training sessions will be completed at both high and low intensity, max 2 days a week. During these track training sessions, attention is paid to the running technique of the athlete, for example through various forms of running training, we will work on speed through ex- and intensive interval training, but also engage in spicy tempo training. There is a rest day on Friday or Sunday. Of course, the participant is free to choose whether to participate in training sessions or whether he needs a rest day.
